As a Supported Community Connector you support individuals with IDD in group and individual settings in pursuit of community involvement through leisure, volunteer and recreational activities in the community. This position assists and supports individuals to contribute to and participate in community activities, locations and relationships and promotes and supports individual choice in all activities, relationships and services. Activities may include such things as volunteering to deliver "Meals on Wheels", bowling, cooking classes, swimming or gym activities.
Ensures individual’s health and safety is monitored and protected at all times. Follow operational procedures regarding safety. Work with a team to address individual risks.
Skills / Requirements
Experience in human service or related field required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and e-mail. Maintains criminal and driving checks acceptable with State of Colorado, insurance carrier and Cheyenne Village, Inc. requirements. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Pay: $12 to $14.10/hour
