Job Description

Cheyenne Village a local non-profit is looking for a professional, detailed oriented, self-started, with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for the position of Administrative Assistant.  This person will work directly for the Executive Director and provide administrative and clerical support for Directors and Leadership Team.

This position is responsible for Board of Director and Executive Committee meeting notices, agendas and minutes.  Prepares and maintains Board of Directors records i.e. minutes of all committees, record of volunteer hours, correspondences and support for Board events, etc.

Responsible for central files of the organization including contracts and legal documents.

Responsible for control and maintenance of master policies and forms on the Intranet.  Maintains purged and revised policies in hard copy.

Shares responsibility for receptionist/front desk coverage.

Skills / Requirements

Five years of progressive administrative support experience; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.  Ability to model professional dress and workplace conduct. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field and non-profit sector experience preferred.  Experience working with contracts and legal documents preferred.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.  Maintains criminal and driving record acceptable with State of Colorado, insurance carrier and Cheyenne Village, Inc. requirements.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
