Working as a Host Home Provider
Opening your heart and home
Independent Host Home Providers
Our compassionate host home providers are committed to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by opening their homes and lives for long-term in-home placement. These placements can lead to lasting friendships, and are made after our staff evaluate your lifestyle and the needs of our client to ensure successful outcomes for all parties. We provide training, support, and income for those ready to take on a life-changing opportunity.
You will be responsible for providing basic home care including meals, transportation and supervision to the individual placed with you. Host home providers are paid independent contractors, required to fulfill individual service plans and provide and maintain records of services. You must be 21 years of age, pass a background check, and fulfill other obligations set forth by the State of Colorado.
