For over 50 years, Cheyenne Village, Inc., a local 501(c)(3) and oldest provider of residential services has been supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Colorado Springs. Currently, we are seeking qualified applicants for an Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) position.  This is a full time 40 hours per week position working four 10 hour shifts.

This position is responsible for assuring the health, safety and welfare of person receiving services. Provides individual supports consistent with each person’s individual needs, preferences and values. Provides assistance and support to individuals receiving services to include implementation of service and support plan.   Supports and assists individuals in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, housekeeping, budgeting, and shopping for personal needs, social skills, recreation, and leisure interests.  Assures support is available to individuals with disabilities to participate in personal interests, community activities, and resources either provided directly or by friends, family, or other community members. Promotes individual choice in all activities, relationships, and services.

HIRING BONUSES - $1,000 after 90 days of employment.

Skills / Requirements

Experience in human services or related field preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and e-mail.

Maintains acceptable criminal background and Department of Motor Vehicle checks. Maintain valid US driver's license.

Important Notes

Must be 18 years of age.  Must become CPR, First Aid and QMAP certified.  Certifications and training are paid for by Cheyenne Village, Inc.
