Job Description
Cheyenne Village, Inc., a local 501(c)(3), the largest and oldest provider of residential services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Colorado Springs is seeking qualified applicants for Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions. As a DSP you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This position is responsible for assuring the health, safety and welfare of person receiving services. Supports individuals with IDD in group and individual settings in pursuit of community involvement through leisure, volunteer and recreational activities in the community. Assists and supports individuals to contribute to and participate in community activities, locations and relationships of each individual’s choice. This position is also responsible for assuring the health, safety and welfare of person receiving services while in the community.

Skills / Requirements
Experience in human services or related field preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and e-mail.
Maintains acceptable criminal background and Department of Motor Vehicle checks. Maintain valid US driver's license.
Important Notes
Must be 18 years of age. Must become CPR, First Aid and QMAP certified. Certifications and training are paid for by Cheyenne Village, Inc.
