As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will assure the health, safety and welfare of adults with disabilities. 

Provide individual supports consistent with each person’s individual needs, preferences and values.

Ensures individual’s health and safety is monitored and protected at all times. Follow operational procedures regarding safety. Work with a team to address individual risks.

Ensures support is available to individuals with disabilities to participate in personal interests, community activities, and resources either provided directly or by friends, family, or other community members. Promotes individual choice in all activities, relationships, and services.

Supports and assists individuals in daily living skills, which may include personal hygiene, toileting, housekeeping, shopping for personal needs, social skills, and recreation and leisure interests.

Maintains appearance and cleanliness of residence at agency/division standards.

Skills / Requirements

Maintains current QMAP, CRP and First Aid Certifications.  All training is paid.

Have operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and e-mail.

Maintain criminal and driving records that are acceptable with State of Colorado, insurance carrier and Cheyenne Village requirements.
