Job Description

Cheyenne Village, Inc. has been serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Pikes Peak area since 1971 and is the only agency in Colorado Springs to provide a full array of residential services.  These include supervised homes, community apartment living, host homes, small group living and family caregiver programs.  In addition, a Supported Community Connections (day program) which provides daytime activities that offer learning opportunities in community settings that include volunteer work, physical fitness and wellness, socialization and educational activities.  All these programs help us complete our mission of "helping people with disabilities lead happy healthy and fulling lives".

The Residential Director organizes, directs and manages the comprehensive residential services programs and directly supervises the Host Homes program, intake coordination and the Nursing Department.  Evaluates the services for compliance, effectiveness and efficiency.  Responsible for program quality and financial oversight.

Responsible for program expansion into neighborhood and creation of neighborhood hubs.

Ensures licensure and program quality standards are met and maintained.  Establishes and monitors procedures for regulatory compliance.  Primary representative for surveys, coordinates survey process, works with surveyors and completes the survey pan of correction.

Ensures all policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory agencies and regulations.

Assists with budget development and monitors each departments' financial performance.

Active liaison and primary contact with TRE, The Arc of the Pikes Peak Region, families/guardians and other community supports.

Primary contact for law enforcement, APS, TRE and guardians if any mandatory reporting events occur.

Services on committees and work groups as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human services field with a preference for psychology, education, or social work. Five years of experience in management/supervisory position with three years in a human services organization. Employment experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Combination of education and work experience may be considered.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, e-mail and web searches.

Hiring bonus $250 after 6 mos. and another $250 at a year of employment.
